Buenos Aires, Feb 10 (NA) – River Plate and Boca Juniors presented their third kits this Tuesday, following a turbulent few days after their respective defeats in the Apertura Tournament against Vélez and Tigre. According to the description from the brand that outfits them, Boca's new jersey is 'inspired by the murals that dress the neighborhood in the blue and gold flag'. It is predominantly white, with several horizontal stripes on the front featuring the club's characteristic colors, blue and gold. River's new kit, for its part, has a design practically identical to the home one, but replaces the white color with violet, which they defined as 'iconic' as it was used in 2008, the year they won the Clausura Tournament, and in 2018, remembered for the conquest of the Argentine Super Cup, the Argentine Cup, and the Copa Libertadores. According to the Argentine News Agency, both Boca and River are going through complicated days after their defeats in the fourth round of the Apertura Tournament. The 'Xeneize' fell 2-1 to Vélez, while the 'Millonario' suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at home against Tigre.
